It can be so easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves and feeling separate from others…look at all the political turmoil and labels of “black” and “white” and “wrong” and “right”. All this labelling makes us forget that we are more alike than we are different. All of these ideas are illusions of the ego and illusions that keep us separate from each other.

At the end of the day, we are all human. We are one human family. And we are all seeking the same things…connection, safety, security, trust and love. It doesn’t mean that you have to like everyone in your family, but we are all in this together.

So every day, let’s try to focus on bringing it back to love, bringing it back to the basics, and bringing ourselves back to our original center…which is unconditional love for self and others. When we come from that place, we can see that we are more similar to our brothers and sisters on this planet than we are different.

It’s our egos that want to make us separate…separate from each other, and separate from God/Source. And this separation causes so much suffering in our minds and spirits…but the separation is an illusion…an elaborate and sticky illusion, but an illusion nonetheless. And this illusion causes so much conflict and collision.

Everything that is happening in the world right now is calling us to simplify…simplify our lives, simplify our thoughts, simplify our work…come back to basics and sloooooow down. Come back to center and remember our connection to everything and every one. We are connected to all of nature, all of the world, all of the universe, and all of the people and animals around us…whether we are conscious of that or not…whether we believe that or not.

So can we bring it back to love? Can we bring it back to our True North?

Our true calling and purpose is love.

Love is truth.

Everything else is illusion.

We all started off here as babies, innocent and free. Then life shapes and moulds us in all these different ways that make us feel separate, but no one’s experiences are better or worse than anyone else’s. They are unique. We are unique. YOU are unique. And your uniqueness adds colour to the universal tapestry that we are ALL a part of.

Let’s bring it back to love today.

xoxo V
